What is Anomaly Guard?

Anomaly Guard is a psychological horror simulation set inside an abandoned Malaysian school called Seri Gading. The game places players in the role of a night security guard who accepts a suspicious last-minute job for high nightly pay. Instead of direct combat, the tension comes from observation, decision-making, and managing fear. Every shift feels weird, uneasy, slow, and mentally exhausting by design.

How to play Anomaly Guard

Core Premise and Night Shift Structure

You work from 12:00 AM to 6:00 AM, monitoring the school through surveillance cameras. Your task is to identify strange events and report them correctly before they escalate. The environment feels quiet at first, but subtle changes quickly turn into disturbing anomalies. Survival depends on attention to detail and staying calm under pressure.

CCTV Surveillance Gameplay

The main gameplay takes place in CCTV mode. You must switch between cameras and watch for anything out of place. The school is divided into multiple monitored locations, each capable of spawning different anomalies. You monitor 9 different areas: Surau (Prayer room), Dorm, Toilet, Hallway, Dining, Office, Study, Canteen, and Store.

Reporting Anomalies Correctly

Identifying an anomaly is not enough. You must classify it correctly using the REPORT menu. Wrong reports waste time and increase danger, while missed anomalies can lead to severe consequences.

Anomaly Types:

  • Object Displacement: Moving furniture, floating objects, altered paintings
  • Intruder or Entity: Ghosts, shadows, distorted faces
  • Light, Door, or Tech: Flickering lights, slamming doors, powered-on computers
  • Unknown: Blood stains, strange symbols, fog, or unexplained visuals

Correct reporting is the core challenge of Anomaly Guard.
