What is Hexbound?
Hexbound is a retro fantasy first-person shooter that combines fast-paced gunplay, dungeon exploration, and light RPG progression. Set across five dangerous worlds, the game sends you through monster-filled dungeons where locked doors, hidden passages, secret rooms, and valuable loot can be found beyond the main path.
Combat is fast and aggressive, requiring you to sprint, strafe, dodge incoming attacks, and switch between different weapons depending on the situation. Alongside firearms and melee attacks, powerful spells give you additional ways to deal with tougher enemies and large groups.
With 60 campaign levels, 38 weapons, eight spells, hidden secrets, perk upgrades, and massive boss encounters, Hexbound rewards players who are willing to explore every corner while staying ready for the next fight.
How to Play Hexbound
Each level begins inside a maze-like dungeon filled with enemies and locked pathways. Move through the environment, eliminate monsters, collect keys, and activate switches to open new areas.
Exploration is an important part of the experience. Side rooms and hidden passages can contain ammunition, gold, stronger weapons, and other useful resources, so rushing directly toward the exit can cause you to miss valuable equipment.
As the campaign progresses, different enemies require different approaches. Use conventional firearms against smaller threats, switch to stronger weapons or melee attacks when necessary, and save powerful spells for difficult encounters or groups of enemies.
After completing missions, you'll earn perk points that can be invested into weapons, magic, and other character improvements. Focus your upgrades on the equipment you use most to develop a stronger playstyle for the increasingly difficult worlds and boss fights ahead.
